Why would anyone want to work on a team instead of being an independent agent? There are three main reasons, and they all have to do with money:

1. Resources. Even a small team like ours can have tens of thousands of dollars to spend on just leads. Team environments provide more opportunities for agents than the solo career style can.

2. Shortcut the learning curve. You can shortcut by having a mentor—someone whose experience you can rely on, can answer your questions quickly, and has proven processes and systems that mean you won’t have to reinvent the wheel every time you do something new.

3. Efficiency. On a team, you can have one specialized role instead of being forced to be a jack of all trades. Different tasks are taken off your plate so that you can concentrate solely on your money-making activities. That allows you to be more efficient and close more deals quickly.
